Love going there! Their team is wonderful. Always greeted with smiles, my hygienist (shout out Olivia) is fantastic, and my mouth is never sore when I leave. Dr. Chu is amazing. I was skeptical when he took over for my long-term dentist, but he is actually better. I would suggest anyone looking for a dentist to check this place out.

I was always frustrated with the quality of dental care and experience that I received growing up. I wanted to make sure I did things differently. That’s why I sit down with patients, listen closely to their values, answer every question, and offer a comprehensive plan and care. This is what I call “Golden Rule” dentistry – where we treat everyone the way we would love to be treated.

Discovering the Dream

Emigrating from South Korea at age 10, Dr. Chu landed in the Chicago O’Hare airport with nothing but his family, some clothes, and a dream to treat others the way he wanted to be treated. As he grew older and found himself working as an assistant at an Implant Clinic at Ohio State University (OSU) College of Dentistry – that’s when he discovered his calling in dentistry.

Preparing to Serve

He pursued his calling through OSU College of Dentistry where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Chu also holds a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Chu is an avid learner. He has invested and continues to invest in significant hours of continuing education each year. He and his team stay up to date with the latest clinical research and practices. He also loves to speak with colleagues about advancements in dentistry and can’t wait to get up in the morning to serve his patients through his passion.

Focus on Prevention

Dr. Chu doesn’t want to just see you when you have a toothache. He wants to prevent that toothache from ever happening. He practices early intervention rather than reactive response dentistry. Time with Family

When not serving patients, Dr. Chu enjoys spending family time with his wife and two children. You can also catch him refining his culinary skills as an amateur chef, cooking for his friends and family. he also loves OSU football, traveling, reading, and formula one racing.
